Travel Diary - Part 1 / AMSTERDAM

Myself, my boyfriend Kayne, my dad, his girlfriend Catherine and her daughters Ada, Dorothy and Queenie decided a few months ago we was going to do some traveling. Our journey started with a 4am wake up call to be ready to leave at 4.30. We drove for around 2 hours to Dover to get our ferry to Dunkirk. The ferry journey took 2 hours, by which time it was light so we ventured outside. We actually won £30 on a Deal or No Deal machine which we played to pass the time! Once we arrived in France, we had to drive to Amsterdam which took about 4 hours.

We found our apartment and briefly looked around/unpacked before we went straight out to find some food. We were all starving so we just got snacky bits so we could pick what we wanted.

We got on the tram which was literally 20 seconds down the road from us and went to the main centre.

We walked to the main station which was gorgeous inside. There was actually a huge group of Ajax fans (Amsterdam football team) who were celebrating. We have since worked out they won the legue that night, hence why they were celebrating!

We walked around the red light district and down loads of back streets which were lovely.

Amsterdam is well known for its large (and many!) canals.

We went into this massive sweet shop and they had this Easter duck which was 100 euros! I couldn't believe it. I was in heaven as I am a true sweetaholic!!

We got the tram home and just spent the rest of the night chatting. We also FaceTimed some relatives that were in San Diego, which was amazing because we were both in different parts of the world!

Part 2 will continue tomorrow..

Have you ever been to Amsterdam?

Floral Shirt | Petite Joni's | Fur Slip On's | Satchel - Topshop - old | Cardigan - Primark - old

I had a bit of a splurge at work yesterday as I still had 3 uniform pieces to get and as I haven't bought anything new in MONTHS I thought I'd treat myself. I got this shirt, these jeans and slip ons. I also got a midi dress which I'm sure you'll see on here soon!

I finally bit the bullet and bought some of the infamous Topshop Skater slip ons. They are soooooo uncomfortable at the moment but you know when you just LOVE something you don't even care if they hurt, I genuinely think I will wear this exact outfit a million times again! I'm in love!!!!

50 shades of daisydaisyxxo

Ha, do you like the title!? I found myself vey funny for that one.
I have wanted to do this post for aaaages, if you know me well you'll know my hair is literally different every single day. I have it up 90% of the time but I do different styles every day. Please excuse some of the terrible quality pictures. This post is selfie central. I have tried to be chronological about the pictures but to be honest, I'm not sure if its right! My name is Daisy and this is my hair story.
How embarrassing are these pictures?! So it all started when I was younger. I always had a 'Bob and Sandra' which basically meant a bob but as my uncle is called Bob, his wife is called Sandra I re-named it.

I used to always cut in fringes only to regret it the day after.
My hair obviously grew out of my fringe so I bleached it, orange.
I hated the colour so died it near enough black again. Nice pose.

I have a huuge thing that I will get my hair near enough blonde then die it brown and then do it again.
Blacky hair turned to brown.
Had like 3 highlights put in my fringe. Loved this picture!
OH and were back to dark again.

So I think the second picture came before the first (sorry!) Brown turned to blonde.
Kept getting lighter and lighter.
I had loads of highlights put in and I loved this colour (end one!)

Bleached it and it turned quite blonde.
In all these photos, this colour is my faaave. I loved it this colour.
Still blonde (think the lighting was dodge, it looks browny)
Really really blonde fringe.

Ooooh another fringe! And bleach blonde hair. This is my dads FAVE.
Died my ends pink for Race For Life (was wash out!!)
Hair lightened quite a bit in summer on its own.
Started to go a bit gingery.

Full on ginge (no offence).
Still ginge, slightly more browny here.
My signature hairstyle two summers ago! Slick back straight pony tale.
Prom hair. Loved this so much I had the same style for my mums wedding (back to quite blonde!!)

Hahahhahahaha. I died my hair black. AND MISSED HALF OF IT!! HOW EMBARRASING
Another one of the badly died hair, KILL ME NOW.
I died it again, this time all over!!
Started to fade (a bit)

Faded completely and I had brown hair again.
Ombre'd it (cant really tell, I have a post about it!)
Most recently picture, bad roots, blonde ends, all different colours.

So there is more in this I haven't included, like the time I died my hair BRIGHT RED and my mum practically made me strip it, and once I stripped it and washed it off it was bleach blonde! But I cant find any pictures. And also during all this I had all my hair cut off, it was soooo short :( I'm sure there are so many other colours I've missed out but you get the general story.

I WANT BLONDE HAIR AGAIN!!

The Fairy Tale Tag

I saw this tag on Oh Rubys blog which you can read HERE and I absolutely loved it! I have looked and I really cannot for the life of me find out where it was started but I thought I'd join in. Feel free to use my image.

Snow White - Do you consider yourself beautiful?
I don’t think ANYONE would say yes to this!? What a question!!

Sleeping Beauty - How many hours do you sleep at night?
If I’m at home, I can NEVER sleep so literally a few hours but if I’m at my boyfriends I could easily sleep 12 hours a night if I was able to.

Cinderella - Do you have a curfew?
No, I live in the countryside so if I was to ever go out in town I probably wouldn’t be going home anyway. Even if I did, I don’t, I just need to let my mum know what time I’ll be home.

Rapunzel - Do you love being outside?
Only if its very hot and very sunny!!

Red Riding Hood - Do you trust strangers easily?
Not really. I keep myself to myself 98% of the time, so nobody really knows much about me anyway.

The Wolf and the Seven Young Kids - Are you easily fooled?
I can be sometimes. I’m quite gullible.

Beauty and the Beast - What makes someone beautiful in your eyes?
Cliché but if someones kind and genuine, you’re alright to me.

The Little Mermaid - What would you sacrifice for love?
Erm, tricky one.. I don’t really know..

The Frog Prince - What do you find disgusting?
A lot of things. My boyfriend blows his nose like an elephant.

Jack and the Beanstalk - Do you have any plants?
No! I doubt I’d be trusted. Once me and my brother grew sunflowers and they got sooo high but my stepdad knocked them down with the lawn mower!!

Puss in Boots - Do you have pets? If not, do you want them?
Exactly the same as before, I wouldn’t be trusted. I completely ignored my hamster and it died and my gold fish (from the fair) also died.. I buried it in the garden.

Bluebeard - What is your weak point?
I hate to admit it but its defiantly being annoyed at my boyfriend. I can stay annoyed at friends for months but my boyfriend..

Pinocchio - What is your biggest wish?
To become a wealthy blogger. Obviously.

Peter Pan - What is your mental age?
My birthday is the 30th of August, so I’ve always been the youngest in my year meaning my friends are always a lot older than me so I’ve always been told that I’m more ‘mature’ for my age (I hate that saying.)

The Star Money - What is your most valuable possession?
Erm.. I really don’t know.. My iPhone or my ted baker purse. I’m not really sure!

Gold Mary & Pitch Mary - Are you a hard worker or a lazy one?
Depends. I can be both depending on where I am and the task!

The Snow Queen - Who is your best friend?
My bestest friend is a lovely girly called Amelia. I have been with her throughout my whole life, and although we don’t speak every day, she is my true true bestie and I love her to death.

The Princess and the Pea - Are you sensitive?
Not really, I don’t really care about what people say about/to me. Take it on the chin!!

Godfather Death - What qualities make a good parent?
Just being there for their child. No money in the world can do that job!

The Twelve Dancing Princesses / The Worn-Out Dancing Shoes - Do you like parties?
Yes! I turn 18 in August and I’m soooo excited!! I cannot wait.

The Emperor's New Clothes - Do you care a lot about your clothing?
I guess I do.. I kind of have to because of work.

The Brave Little Tailor - Do you consider yourself brave?
Not at all. I’m scared of everything. I read the daily mail app at least twice every day and its scared the life out of me because all its about is rape and murder! I’m scared to walk past a stranger in the street!

I tag anybody who wants to do it!!

Where have I been?!?!

Its been sooooooo long since my last post and I always said I'd never do one of these 'update' posts because next week, next month or even next year this will be SO irrelevant and I probably will end up deleting this but for now its completely relevant. Since my last post which you can read HERE, I meant to schedule so many posts whiles I was away BUT my mums computer broke and she had to take our home one into work (she's a graphic designer, so without a computer she's pretty non workable) but I was away from the 13th till the 20th and my computer is still not back at home *SAD FACES* so I'm unable to do any posts.

I am currently at college and I've quickly made these collages from my iPhone photos that I took whiles I was away. I'm not going to say anything more about them and let you guess from the photos, BUT I am going to be doing a full travel diary to explain everything once my computer is home. I also have so many style posts to get up and I got some beauty bits whiles I was away and for Easter from my mum so look forward to those. I literally have a list of about 15 posts (not even including my travel diary!) so once the computer is home look out for those!!

Annabelle's Wigs Challenge

Whiles looking on Twitter a few weeks ago a saw Annabelle's Wigs asking for bloggers interested in taking part in a challenge. I obviously had to find out more. I spoke to the lovely Clare who explained that there was a bloggers challenge happening at the moment where you had to create 3 looks from one of their wigs. After sending her some terrible pictures of my hair (sorry Clare!!) she matched what she thought would look best with the top of my hair, as you may realise my hair is 10000 different colours.
I was matched with the Lexi Wavy 3/4 wig* which as you can see is perfect!

1- Small front quiff
This is a look I do myself very often, and to be honest is the base of all 3 of my looks. I'm not sure why, but when I was putting my wig in, it really wasn't covering up well (where it sat) so I decided to do this to cover it. It did work well but it meant I had to do this for every single one!

2- Plaited up do
This was so unplanned and randomly done. I started off by just doing two long plaits as I have seen people look lovely with this style, however I just looked 2 years old. I then was getting angry as nothing was working and you could see the front and pulled my hair to either side. I then clipped it up at the top (as a complete joke!) and this happened!! I couldn't believe it. I had made my own hairstyle.

3- Half up with a bow
Lastly, this is again a hairstyle I always wear. You can't really see it very well in the right picture, but in the left you can see I have it half up, half down. I added this bow (which is broken, explaining the really dodgy bow) because I needed something to cover the front of my hair.

I put a picture of me in my wig on Facebook without saying anything, and people assumed it was extensions. I was in work yesterday, and someone I work with said 'why aren't you wearing your extensions? They looked so nice!'. I wouldn't wear this out in public but it does look very very real, and it feels so gorgeous. It isn't too heavy either, which is always good! I'm so in love with this hair and I wish it was really mine. I need it to grow!!!

What did you think of my looks?!

Chelsea Beautique eyebrow kit

When I recently won Michelle at TSNC big blog giveaway, I had already said in my head I wasn't going to do loads of posts about everything I got because well, quite frankly I don't think people will be that bothered. HOWEVER, since receiving everything there are a few products which just NEED their own post… This being one of them.

Chelsea Beautique wasnt a brand I was familiar with, and when I saw on the list of things that I had won that this kit was worth £35, I thought 'wow, why is it so expensive?!' (there's me and my Benefit Brow Zings thinking that was over priced! hehe) but since using it, I can absolutely see why its that price. Saying that, I'm not sure I'd buy it again but thats the cheapy makeup girl in me. I don't think I'd ever buy anything again unless I was in love, I'd rather try something else!

These eyebrow kits come in 7 different colours, and you can buy each of the components separately if you just need to top up. The kit comes with a pan of eyebrow colour, a double ended eyebrow brush, a pair of tweezers and some stencils. My eye brows are way too thick and unruly to use stencils, and as they change every single day these are no use to me. I do like the idea of them though.

I went for 'light brown' for my colour of choice, and its such a perfect colour match, I was so shocked! On the website, they have colour suggestions depending on the colour of your hair if your not sure. I have just read that my colour is suited for red/dark blonde hair, I have neither BUT I'm very happy with the colour match. I have completely stopped using my Brow Zings and I use this every single day. I'm still lovin' it. I would absolutely love to try some other bits from Chelsea Beautique!

Have you ever tried anything from Chelsea Beautique?

Kelly Brook @ Newlook

Kelly Brook eyeshadow sets available at Newlook

I knew Kelly Brook has a swimwear collection at Newlook. I knew Kelly Brook had a lingerie collection at Newlook but I had no idea she now had MAKEUP!? I don't know how long its been in there but mine has only recently come in.

Me and my mum are huge huge nail biters, and since Christmas my mum had been growing her nails and doing really well so when I saw the nail varnishes my local Newlook had I went over to have a look.. Then my mum told me she'd given in and bit all her nails *oooops*

But as I got up to walk away, these beauties caught my eye. I really liked the packaging which was why I initially picked them up, but as every girl does I turned them over to check the prices and to my surprise they were £2.99 each! £2.99 for a palette, even MUA don't do them that cheap! AND I had 10% student discount so there was no way I couldn't get them. As far as I know there are two sets available; smokey eyes and natural eyes. I haven't yet used these, I tried my best to swatch them but my dark arm hairs (yes, I've come out and said it!) make that very hard to do.

I'm hoping these are as good as they look, I will defiantly be trying these out soon and hopefully will give you a nice little makeup look/full review on them! :)

Have you tried any Kelly Brook makeup? What did you think?
