Makeup Revolution Amazing Lip Liners

I am definitely late to the party with this post. I mean, I did receive these in the post the day the launched but HEY as I'm always saying I'm slack. You don't need to read my excuses, you already know the drill!

What's that I hear you cry? Makeup Revolution have finally answered our prayers and launched lip liners?!?! You would be correct. And boy are they good! With only 8 colours currently in the collection, you're certainly limited if your a red lip kind of girl but we can't have it all. Let's just hope that this is just the start of the lip liner revolution with more hopefully being released soon!

The liners themselves are in pencil form with magical lids that can only be described as 'sent from heaven'. I mean, c'monnnnn.. A lid that sharpens the pencil? It really isn't rocket science, but I can firmly tell you right now I don't own a pencil sharpener of any kind! *bad beauty blogger right here* so these really are summmmin' else. I think it's MUA that already do a pencil in this form but really every brand should follow suit! It really is amazing.

I always try to steer clear from pencil lip liners. It's kind of like an un-written rule. They are notorious to be sharp, scratchy and not very pigmented but these are so very different! Creamy, non scratchy, pigmented and yup, still pencil form. Who would have thought it?! The only let down is again, the colour range! I don't love a pink lip, I have warmed to it don't get me wrong but unless you like a dark purple or a barbie pink, these won't interest you.

Oh, and I totally meant to save the best bit until last. They are £1 each. Or go nuts, buy all 8 and save yourself £2. BARG

(links in order of colour, I think!)

So there you have it! All the low down on the new kids on the block. Enjoy!

Yves Rocher Makeup | Smokey Eye Look

Is it bad I had never tried Yves Rocher makeup until an email appeared in my inbox recently offering me to try some bits? My nan knew exactly who they were. Maybe a generation thing? I haven't got a clue. But I'm pleased to tell you I'm a huuuuge fan. I was sent all the perfect things to make a nice smokey eye look which is exactly what I did.

Firstly I received the Fixing Eyelid Primer £7.50*. A tiny bit of this goes such a long way and the tube would definitely last you the longest time! I always use a eye primer so I can't say I've noticed the biggest lot of difference, its similar to my others.

Secondly I received the Quad Eyeshadow Palette £12.50* in brown. The quad contained 2 shimmers and 2 matte colours, with 2 of the horrible eyeshadow brushes that all beauty bloggers hate (including me!). I wasn't sure what to expect as I try an awful lot of eyeshadow palettes and as you all know I have my serious favourites. But guess what? It's bloody fab. Yup, amazing. Surprisingly good.

I also received Intense Kajal 100% liner £9.95* which is a kohl liner. I found it stupidly easy to use and blend, and the shape of the packaging/product is really cool too.

On to the piece de resistance, the Vertige Volume Mascara £11.50*. Well, we all know what a mascara snob I am. You might have seen on my social media recently that I tried the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara (new fave) which I LOVE and I was sure nothing could beat it. This mascara doesn't beat it, but it does match it which is a very hard job. If your ever on the hunt for a new mascara and your stuck in a rut of which to try, I would 150% recommend this one.

In the pictures above I have shown you my look that I did using all these products, as well as just the mascara on its own so that you can see what it looks like. I'm sure you'll agree it looks good, no? I also really loved all the packaging for all the products. They were clean, chic and simple but worked amazingly. They do the job and are very pleasing to the eye!

Have you ever tried Yves Rocher? What was your favourite bits?

Makeup Revolution I HEART MAKEUP | Pure Cult

I have actually only just found out this palette cost a mere £3.99 and I'm honestly gobsmacked. I actually cannot believe it. A few weeks ago the I Heart Obsession palettes were released and a few days later, 2 of them arrived on my door stop. Pinks? Nope, not me. I could never wear pinks. Nope nope nope, count me out. Ah, I was wrong. I must admit, I've always loved the idea of wearing pinks but never strayed too far from my classic brown/gold smokey eye. That has been replaced now. Pink smokey eyes are the way forward, truuuust me.

I am mainly excited that this palette has come just before Spring/Summer AKA my new all time favourite palette ever to be put on this earth

There are 10 shades (yes, 10!!) for £3.99 which is just insane. That works out at UNDER 40p a pan which is ridiculous. And they are large pans too, they will last you a while. If pinks arent your thing, there is 4 other colour ranges and I'm certain there will be something there for everyone.

I do think that this palette is something special. Like, really special and I will be using it on a daily from now on. AHH I LOVE IT.

Have you got your eye on any of these palettes?

NEW RELEASE | Makeup Revolution Pro Looks Palette | EatSleepMakeupRepeat

Pro Looks Palette | EatSleepMakeupRepeat - £6*

May I have your attention please.......
Wow, just wow. What more can you say? Of course I would say 'they've done it again' but I think I've used that one too many times to describe Makeup Rev palettes. One of this weeks new releases are these; Pro Look Palettes. There are 3 in the collection, which are limited edition. The idea is that there are 3 different looks to be created (or of course you could create your own!) with 5 shadows in each section. This is obviously the brighter palette of the three. Both the others include neutrals and browns to create gorgeous smokey eyes.

I wouldn't personally wear this for everyday makeup (unless I was very brave, which I am not!) but as always its great to have something like this in your collection in case. I think I need to get one of the more every day palettes so I can try that too. Well, for £6 its not breaking anybody's bank. I will definitely be doing some looks with this palette to show you all but for now, I just wanted to get this post up so you could see it in all its glory (...and used palettes are the worst thing to photograph).

Valentines box swap | what I got

I mentioned a few months ago (WOW?!) now that I was taking part in the Valentines box swap that Lucie from Fatbeautyx and Sam from Mascara & Cakes set up and I'm back today to show you what I received.

I was told that I was going to be sending Helena from Helena Loves a box, and she also sent me one back but at the time we obviously didn't know this. We had to give a short list of products we like and don't like for our valentine to use as a guideline.

All my items were individually wrapped which was so lovely. They also had loads of confetti heart things with a letter! All my items had a separate letter inside the wrapping to explain why she got me it.

Rimmel Moisture Renew lipstick

Kate Moss lipstick

Scandal eyes mascara

Lip stain with balm

CK highlighter

Scandal eyes eyeliner

Collection eyeshadow palette

I absolutely loved everything I received and Helena really chose well! I have used the Rimmel lipstick and I'm seriously in love!!! The eyeliner is amazing and the CK highlighter has become one of my must have products!

I want to say a massive thank you to Lucie and Sam for arranging the whole thing - it really was amazing and I hope that you do one again!
And huge thanks to Helena for my items!!

Have you tried any of the items that I got?

High end VS High street!

If you follow me on Twitter you will know that I haven't been on any kind of blogging programme (blogger, Bloglovin' etc) since Friday and I genuinely have withdrawal symptoms!! Its crazzyyy!
Today I have for you the next 2014 Blogger Challenge challenge, which is high end VS high street. When I first read the task I originally thought that I might create a look from both high end products and high street, but as the time to publish pushed closer and closer (I think I might even be late, again!!) I decided to do the easy option - a wish list!!

It was A LOT easier to do a wish list for the high street products, I think this is simply because I'm a cheap makeup kinda girl and don't ever spend too much on anything, so high end prices scare me away! I'm a firm believer that you can get the same quality for much cheaper prices!!

High street will always win for me :P

What are you favourite high street/high end picks? Do you have any of the same as mine?
aaannddd.. if you have reviews for ANY of the above please comment with links I will read all!
