BEAUTYUK baked blush - halo*

So I have defiantly saved the best until last for you all. I'm in love.

Since getting this I have sworn by it and have made so many people try it out. How haven't I tried this before?!?! This GORGEOUS blush comes in a gorgeous little box. I have used this every single day since getting it without fail and I've had so many compliments on it. I never used to wear blush because I always thought that it didn't suit me.. booooyyy was I wrong!!

I chose one of the less pinky shades simply because I thought it would suit me better. This is a blush AND a subtle highlighter all in one.. How amazing is that?!? These are £3.99 and oh my lord, they are worth every penny. I can already tell this is going to last me a very long time and thats a very good thing, trust me! I have just spotted there is one darker than this that looks like more of a bronzer which I already have my eyes on.

I can't recommend this enough to you all, this will seriously be one of my favourite products of all time!! GET IT!! NOW!!!!

Will you be trying this blush? Do you love BeautyUK as much as I do?

BEAUTYUK 'posh pout'*

BeautyUK have recently launched a collection of 6 'posh pout' lip crayons. I have always loved lip crayons ever since they started being released but recently I haven't bought many. When I spotted these on the website I was all over them!

I chose the one named 'sugar plum fairy' which is not only so sweet but REALLY works with the crayon. The colour as you can see is like a dark plum colour with flickers of almost sparkle running through it. It's so so nice, I've worn this to death since receiving it.

The packaging is again simple but this time with a slight bit of colour in it! I love how BeautyUK just use simple fonts on simple colours. The price of these are £2.99 which is so so good!! Another thing I will defo be buying a lot more of.

Do you like lip crayons? Have you tried BeautyUK?

BEAUTYUK lipstick review*

The second in the BeautyUK series! Today we have a lipstick.

I'm really bad with remembering to put lipsticks on but I always keep one in my makeup bag juuust in case I remember (which would be a miracle!!). This lippy has swiftly replaced any other lipstick.

Obviously its a gorgeous colour, theres no denying that. It's a lovely pinky/red with such nice purple/blue undertones (ooh, get me talking about undertones like I know what I'm on about!). The packaging is just plain black, which I love for lipsticks as its just simple. It comes with almost a 'sample pot' on the bottom, which would be good if you was applying with a brush instead.

When I first put this on I was greeted by a lovely smelling matte lipstick, followed by a tingly sensation. I was so pleasantly shocked by this but since doing a bit of research on it, they are mint flavoured and I guess this is why I felt the sensation.

For £3.49 per lipstick, I guess you can't go wrong and I will definitely be buying more of these babies!

Do you like the look of this lipstick? Which colour would you choose?

BEAUTYUK eyeshadow palette*

As I've been unable to blog for a while I've got a small pile of things accumulating that I need to write about, some of which are the posts you will be seeing for the next few days. I asked on Twitter if you'd rather see a general post or separate posts about each product, and you all said separate posts.

I was sent some lovely bits by BeautyUK. The clue is in the name. A beauty company based in the UK, see what they've done there? ;-) They offer really good quality but cheap makeup products and they are up there in my eyes with MUA (yes, really). If you understand my obsession for MUA you'll understand why this is big to me!!!

The first in the series is this lovely nudes palette. This pan includes 10 colours to create a perfect natural eye look. I love these because they are really easy to build adding colours. The price of this is £3.99 which I think is amazing value. Each colour is 0.35oz of product, which whiles it isn't LOADS, its plenty for the price your paying.

I use the first pale glittery shade daily. I find that this is a gorgeous base colour but looks lovely on its own too, so I've found myself putting it all over the lid and in the corners of my eyes everyday. The colours aren't the most pigmented in the whole world, but all you need is a bit of patience to build the colour and you can get some amazing looks with this little palette. I'm also SO HAPPY to tell you IT FITS IN MY MAKEUP BAG!!! It's about the only palette I own that can actually fit so I take this with me everywhere.

You will be seeing a few more BeautyUK posts over the next few days, but I hope you liked this first one in the series. I would definitely recommend checking this brand out if you haven't before, it is amazing and such good value for money!! My new fave.

Have you tried BeautyUK? Will you be trying them?

benefit brow bar waxing

Yesterday I had a day off and with absolutely nothing to do, I thought I'd use a left over Christmas gift card and get my eyebrows done. My mum got me a Benefit Brow Bar voucher and I've just had no time to use it. I went into Debenhams, where the brow bar is and booked my appointment. It was around an hour wait so I just window shopped whiles I waited.

Both pictures above are 'before'. I have very thick dense brows naturally (as you can see, with no product on or anything). I knew I definitely didn't want to loose any of the thickness as I would just look so stupid with thin brows.

I had a girl called Chloe (for any of you who may go to Bury St Eds Debs, ask for Chloe!!) who I would 100% recommend to anyone. She was so lovely and made sure I was happy with everything she was doing. She asked if I wanted a natural curve or more of an arch. I decided to just go for something different so I asked to have more of an arch, although I had no idea how it would look. At the end of the day, eyebrows grow back (very quickly!) so it didn't matter too much if I didn't like it.

The process took about 20 minutes, which was a lot longer than any eyebrow waxing I've had before but I feel it was well worth the £11.50 I paid and I will defo be going back. I think she's done an absolutely amazing job and I'm sooo chuffed. I posted the 'before and after' picture to Twitter and had such an amazing reaction!

As you can see, I haven't lost any definition but just gained a neater and much nicer shape which I'm so pleased about. Chloe told me I should go back around 4-5 weeks later, which I will 100% be doing. As I've mentioned, I would recommend the Benefit Brow Bar to anybody!!

*UPDATE* - for those who are asking, in the after photos I have a small amount of Benefit Brow Zings although next time I go I'm defo going to get a tint!!

What do you think of my new eyebrow shape?!

matalan wishlist

I went to Matalan last night and if you follow me on Twitter you may have seen I was raving for ages about it. I hadn't been in Matalan for ages and they had completely revamped it and I'm pleased to say they have REALLY stepped up their game. I was soo impressed and even more so when I saw they have a new 'petite' range as I'm not 100% sure but I don't think the normal clothes go down to a size 6. Size 8 tops are normally fine but the bottoms aren't. I have just noticed this is all patterned - strange for me!

Petite Cami Top - £7
I absolutely love this little cami and for this price, you cant really go wrong. They had so many in different colours - light pink, powder blue and lilac just to name a few. I think they were slightly cheaper but I will 100% be getting some of these for summer.

Triangle Print Blouse - £12
I loooove this blouse. I love the pattern, its such a lovely monochrome blouse and would go with loads!

Printed Kimono - £14
How gorge is this?! My mum got a similar kimono but it was black and pink at the end of last year. I spotted this one and I thought it was lovely.. The colours are so nice!

Palm Print Joggers - £16
I'm despo to get my hands on some of these. As you all probably know, I am 100% a 'sports luxe' trend fan and these are perfectoooo. I just love them. The print is amaze and combined with this style of trouser, they are just my ideal trouser.

Floral Scuba Blazer - £20
OH MY GOD. I'm in love. Seriously!!!! I saw this in the petite section and even tried it on.. I am defo getting this on pay day. I'm not sure if you know but I start an office job in July and I think this will be perfect! I literally can't even tell you how much I love it!!!

Patterned Joggers - £14
Same reasons as before, I want these so badly!!

Floral Pencil Skirt - £10
I saw this modelled on the website and it looked amazing, for the price though, I think it could look amazing on anyone!! This is another that I'm defo getting on pay day.

Aztec Sandals - £12
I love the style of these, they are just gorge. I'm not 100% set on the pattern, just because it would be very selective what you can wear with these, but hopefully they do these in other patterns because I would really like some!!

Petite Box Top - £12
I also thought this would be perfect for work, I love the colour and simplicity of it.

I hope you liked my picks, I could write these posts for days from there! I have my eye on so many things. If you would like to see another post like this from Matalan, please let me know as I'd love to do some more! Maybe like a series!!

Do you shop in Matalan? Did you like my picks?

Nanogen Hair Thickening Treatment Review*

A few months ago now I was contacted by the lovely people at Nanogen to see if I was interested in reviewing their hair thickening treatment shampoo and conditioner. Now, I'm a huge sceptic about if these kind of things really work.. I mean, how?! I literally still can't understand it to be honest with you but, like every other girl the aim is thicker, healthy hair. Of course I jumped at the opportunity!

Let's start with the packaging. Well what can I say? You can see for yourself if you like it or not. Honestly, I don't dislike it but it is quite simple. I do think it really works for the product though! Next is the smell. The website states it has a 'beautifully intense berry fragrance'. I can't say I agree. The smell isn't off putting but it certainly doesn't smell like berrys.. It is one of the main things I noticed because it does have a strong smell but I'm not sure what of. It isn't very nice, lets put it that way! Price? Coming in at nearl£20 for the both, it is on the medium-pricey side. I defiantly wouldn't want to pay that much because I'm a self-confessed cheapskate, but if it works, people will pay! I guess it is just the same as a higher end drugstore product.

The consistency of the shampoo is slightly thin which is not a bad thing, just different to my usual shampoo! The conditioner is like any other.

I have used this shampoo and conditioner for around a month now (I must admit, I don't use them every day but I have used them A LOT, they are nearly run out!) and I have seen results. Shock horror!
I'm not saying my hair has thickened by inches but it definitely feels slightly thicker and looks a lot healthier. Although I can't feel much myself, it must look good on the outside as I've genuinely had about 5 or 6 different people who didn't have a clue I was using this compliment the thickness of my hair which is amazing!!

Overall, I probably wouldn't re-buy this myself purely because of the price, buuut I'm super happy to report it has genuinely worked. I'm really interested in trying the 'hair fibres' that Nanogen do because I think they look really good. Maybe they will be next on my list. SO to sum it up, if you're looking for a product that does thicken your hair, I would definitely give this a go.
THEY ALSO DO PRODUCTS FOR MEN!!!

Will you be trying Nanogen products?

Products I wouldn't repurchase #1

Reading literally thousands of beauty blogs, it's very easy to read the same review again and again about a certain product. It's also very easy to bow to pressure and buy something if every beauty blogger and their dog give a product a good review. Here I have some products I've bought thanks to reading reviews but really didn't understand the hype for.

Okay, so I must admit that this isn't really a highly rated product ALTHOUGH I have seen some reviews about it around. I got it because it was £1 and for that price, I guess I can't really complain but something about it just didn't work for me! I hated the texture, colour, application and packaging. There  wasn't a part of this product I liked.. Not one bit! I went for Shade 4 because that was the darkest shade and even so, it didn't look dark enough for me. I used it anyway and I haven't used it again. I think my mum used it for a while buuuut I'm not too sure on her opinion. I will ask her.

You can see why I didn't like this and the Benefit mascara here but to sum it up, its just crap. For a girl who wears A LOT of mascara, this was absolutely awful. It did NOTHING for me at all. I don't know what it was, if it was the formula, the wand or what but no, no, NO.

Everyone literally raves about this foundation, how lovely the formula is, how lightweight it is.. Why do I not think the same?! I thought it was so heavy for my skin and although the colour was good, it literally looked as though it was caked on with a spoon! It may be because I am used to using BB creams and this is an actual foundation but I just don't know.. I have tried to use this over and over again to make me try and love it but its just not happening I'm afraid!

As I mentioned you can read why I didn't like this in the link above. There wasn't anything really wrong with this, its just so expensive for what it is! I don't know how people can afford to keep re-buying this (but then again, I reckon people earn a lot more money than I do!!) I didn't mind this, but I don't see the hype. I would genuinely say my £3 mascara that I re-purchase again and again and again is 100% better for me than this mascara.

Finally, and very unfortunately I hate this lipstick. Its just the colour. I recently won this and I could have picked any colour MAC lipstick I wanted and I went for this one.. BIG MISTAKE. As this was my first MAC lipstick and I had heard so much about the neutrals being a big bloggers fave, I went for this. My picture makes it look a lot pinker than what it is, but on the skin it looks like I've just put foundation on my lips. Just slapped it on. I reckon I will LOVE MAC if I got a different colour (maybe a red or coral..) but this specific colour is a no no for me. I have waaay to dark skin for a nude this pink!

What products would you not bother repurchasing? Any I should watch out for?!

jumpsuit lovin'

shoes - old (think they were Chocker shoes!)
bag - old (from accessorize)

I was recently sent this gorgeous jumpsuit from the lovely people at Missy Empire which is gorgeous clothes but they are SO cheap!! If you need anything but don't have a lot of money, have a look on there! The jumpsuit comes with this gorgeous belt too, which would be lovely for another outfit. I'm already eyeing up my next items I want from there!

The jumpsuit is made from a lovely lightweight material which will be fab for Summer because I can imagine it's not only very comfy, it will be very cool too! I want this is every colour!

The shoes and bag were actually bought for my prom but I haven't worn them since. Probably because I don't often wear heals or need clutch bags, but this is defo an outfit I will be wearing if I have the right occasion in the near future. Thank you very much to Missy Empire for kindly sending me this!

Have you even shopped on Missy Empire? What's your favorite thing on their website?

Dance the night awayyyy...

I was recently (I say recently, more like a few months ago!) contacted by the lovely Amy over at Fanny Crown dresses, inviting me to enter their monthy bloggers competition. I was so excited as I loooove looking at fancy ball gowns (they even do wedding dresses!!). As prom season is fast approaching, I thought it would be a perfect time to post this as the lovely people at Fanny Crown have given me my own discount code! OOH *find at the end of the post*.

So the competition is to pick one of the dresses from the website and style it pretty much. The competition is monthly and more importantly its OPEN TO ANYONE!! So go ahead and enter.

OUTFIT | Golden Evening Dress | Topshop Court Shoes | BooHoo Clutch Bag | River Island Necklace
MAKEUP | MAC Lipstick | Topshop Golden Aura Smokey Eye Palette | Katy Perry Eyelashes | Elnett Hairspray

OUTFIT: Just look. Look at this. Perfection! This dress is just absolutely gorgeous. I've gone completely high street (and as cheap as poss, as I'm a bargain hunter at heart!!) with some Topshop court heals, a BooHoo clutch and a very simple River Island necklace. I didn't want anything too bright in the way of colours as I didn't think the dress needed it.. The same with the necklace. Its all very simple, because I didn't want to take away from the beaut dress!

MAKEUP: Again, for makeup I have gone for simple with a big bold red lip, a dark smokey eye (brass and brown tones to go with the gold dress) and big big lashes. If you know me, I always have big lashes MY OWN I MAY JUST ADD so these are perfect for me. I don't wear false lashes but if I did, I would get these. I added hairspray to the list because lets face it, you need a lot of hairspray if your going to have some big hair do. I wish I had entered this competition when I had my prom! It would have been perfect timing.

As I mentioned at the start they have given me a discount code to offer to my lovely readers for 15% off, so if you need a gorgeous dress for any reason, this is your chance!!
DISCOUNT CODE: DAISYDAISYXXO14
VALID: 3rd MAY 2014 - 18th JUNE 2014!

What dress would you pick?!

Travel Diary - GRONINGEN / part 3

Later that day we drove to Groningen which was the next part of our trip to stay with my dads friend Robert. By the time we got there it was around 6.30. We settled in and had a bit of a rest whiles Robert went to the gym. We were all starving so dad and Robert took us to a pizza place about 15 minutes away where my dad had been before (much to my excitement. I'm SUCH a fussy eater and this was my first meal into the hols!)

It was honestly so nice and we were the only people in there!

We got home and pretty much went to bed straight away as everyone was exhausted!

The next day we all walked into the main town to do a bit of shopping and sight seeing (although there is next to no sights to see!). Robert had mentioned about this tower. You could climb to the top! We found the tourist info centre and bought our tokens which were 3 euros each.

We got to what we thought was the top and the view was amazing! My dad decided not to climb because the stairs were very narrow and in a small place, both of which my dad doesn't deal well with and has panic attacks.

After walking around at the top, we found a secret door which lead us right to the clock face! We were all so amazed but it was stupidly windy at the top. I recorded a video but its not working on here unfortunately. If your even in Groningen for any reason, I seriously suggest you go here!

You can see by all our faces and hair the kind of wind!!

Me and Kayne went off to do some shopping whiles everyone else went to get some lunch. After about an hour we met back up with them and me, Kayne, Dot, Queenie and my dad decided we were going to go swimming that afternoon. Catherine and Ada stayed in the town and visited some churches.

The swimming pool was amazing! It has flumes, a wave machine, whirl pools, lazy river and an outdoor pool! We ended up staying in the poor for over 2 hours! We went and picked up Catherine and Ada at the supermarket and cooked/ate dinner. We watched about 6 eps of The Simpsons! We had an early night because everyone was so tired and we had a loooong drive the next day!

Have you ever been to Groningen? Part 4 is coming up tomorrow!

Travel Diary - AMSTERDAM / part 2

The next day we all woke up quite early. Catherine and the girls went to get breakfast while me, Kayne and my dad got ready (we were late risers!). We ate breakfast and got ready. Ada had read that there was a local market every day which she wanted to see and when we asked out host he said it was literally 30 seconds down the road so thats where we went.

Much to our amusement, a lot of 'swear words' that we have here mean things in Amsterdam.

Queenie bought these sunglasses, they looked so cute!!

Although these sunglasses didn't suit me at all, my mum thought they looked lovely when I showed her the picture! What do you think?!

As we had to check out of our apartment by 12pm we drove to another part of Amsterdam (about 15 minutes away) where we found this gorgeous little cafe/bar. It was absolutely tiny and all 7 of us completely overtook the upstairs bit!

We also found another little market just down the road that we obviously had to look at. My dad actually bought one of these prints! They were so nice!

Are you enjoying my travel diary series? Part 3 will be up tomorrow!
