So we all know (from the copious amount of blog posts recently, and yes I am joining in) that pastels are back in full force this Spring. For those of you who want to know, if you shop in Topshop and you've spotted the pastels trend, its actually called 'kiss me margate'. I absolutely love the trend and how lovely and girly it is. Its adorable and I can honestly say I wouldn't mind every single item!

These are some of my picks from Topshop only, although pastels is massive in pretty much every high street shop.

Are you loving this trend? Do you have anything pastels?

Ebay Brushes

If you've read my blog for a while you'll probably know (or if you didn't, you do now!) I got a 15pc ELF brush set for Christmas and I have really enjoyed using those up until now. They need a mega clean as I have been lazy and I recently saw a post about a 24pc brush set from Ebay. The one I had read about was pink brushes which was mainly why I even bothered looking. I think they were £9 inc postage which is amazing, especially when she had given the brushes a really good review!

So I went onto the link given to see if I wanted to get some for myself. I was pretty gutted when they said 'out of stock' but I noticed the seller had thousands of items for sale (they were more like a wholesaler) so after a little looking I came across these beauties. They are the exact same set, just wooden and these were a huge grand total of £7.50 inc postage. P&P was 50p. 50p!!!!?? I quickly text mum as I knew she was looking for some brushes too. She ordered two sets and they arrived 2 days later.

You can get the brushes here.

There are more brushes than I'd even know what to do with them. I'm really excited to get trying these and see how they are. For you nit pickers, there is actually 23 brushes as I lost one down the back of the washing machine *sad face* but to be honest I'm really not bothered. There are plenty here to be getting on with!

My mum is off out tonight and has actually used some of her brushes, and she says that they were very good. 'Very soft' is all she kept saying. I will defiantly have to take some time trying them all out as their not labeled so you could literally use any brush for anything you wanted. I'm not 100% sure how I feel about this as I haven't got any direction at all, and the more experienced makeup lover might have a clue but I certainly don't! hehe.

I'm super duper excited to try these out over the next few days! I might even do some makeup looks for you all!

Let me know if you get these brushes or already have them, I would be interested to know what you use each one for! hahaha.

Night time makeup look

Its no secret that I'm no beauty guru, in fact I'm far from it. I can't really do my makeup to save my life! And when I decide that I want to do a makeup look, I genuinely will make it up as I go along. I literally just pick out colours as I see them. I'm not sure if you can tell very well but there is a slight purple tinge in the black at the end. This was intentional, even if it doesn't look like it! hehe.

This is a night time based makeup look, I mean by all means you could wear it during the day buttttt I probably wouldn't. If you want a full list of products used, please let me know and I will do this. I'm rushing to get this posted before it becomes too late!

I love doing makeup looks because I love experimenting with makeup so if you want to see some more pleaseeee let me know any ideas you have!!

Would you wear this makeup look?

Canvas Design*

I was recently contacted on Twitter by the lovely people over at Canvas Design to see if I would like to get a free canvas in exchange for a post on my blog. They offer a wide range of canvas' at super amazing prices, with free delivery and 15& off (see further down) what are you waiting for?! It would make the perfect gift for anybody.
I have recently done up my room (yes, I know I've mentioned that a lot!!) and I thought it would be perfect to get a canvas for my wall. After my initial photo being too small, my second one was fine and then all I had to do was wait.

I chose this image of me and my boyfriend at my mums wedding last year. The colour of my dress (strangely) goes very nicely with my room so I thought it would be the perfect thing to have on my wall! I also love this picture so that was a big bonus ;-)

The people I spoke to when I was having trouble with image size were sooo helpful I really couldn't fault them. From the day I sent off my image, I think it was 3 working days before it came. It came wrapped in layers of bubble wrap and cardboard so you would have no worries that the picture would get damaged in transit.

The quality of the picture is amazing too. Being done by a professional photographer and being his original file, I was unsure weather the quality would be a problem but it really wasn't. The canvas itself is also very thick and well made so it wouldn't get damaged.

I was also given a discount code for 15% off when you type 'BLOG15'.

Overall I had such a lovely experience with Canvas Design and would 100% use them again. I'm thinking that when I get this image up, I might get some more from the day to add to my wall. With the prices you really can't go wrong!!

Have you ever ordered from Canvas Design? Will you be using my discount code?!

*PR sample but it doesn't effect anything I have said. All opinions are my own and haven't been influenced in any way.

T-Zone Clear Out Nose Pore Strips

Today I bring to you a review/first impressions post which I'm very excited about. Why you ask? Because I think this may finally be the end to the blackheads that clog up my whole nose and make me feel truly crap about it. It is defiantly the worst part of my face and the main part I would like to change! So yippeeeee for these!!
T-Zone are a brand that use natural active ingredients to help prevent and treat spot prone skin. I saw a review on these strips a few months ago and since I've been on the lookout for them. We have a new local bargains shop that opened last week and today me and mum took a trip to have a look. I found these and I think they were about £1.50 so obviously I grabbed them straight away. I couldn't wait to try them when I got in, and in fact did it pretty much straight away.

The strips are shaped to fit around the nose, and the ONLY bad thing I would say is that they don't go all the way down the nose and stop at the tip. This is annoying as the end of your nose doesn't get covered but it isn't too much of a problem as the area is very small. If you have quite deep blackheads like I do, you will probably need to use these every few days for a good week if not longer to see actual results. Don't get me wrong, you see results straight away, but for real effective results I would use them more. I'm defiantly going to!

The instructions are to wash your wash, dry well and then wet your nose. Once your nose is wet (and you resist the urge to dry it off) you apply the strip and leave it for 10 minutes. You'll start to feel the strip stiffen up and this can become slightly uncomfortable if you move your nose because it feels like its stuck in once place. When your happy its been on for long enough, just peel the strip right off. In a weird, disgusting way it was so satisfying looking at the strip when you've taken it off because you can actually see the blackheads. I did try to get a picture but it wasn't showing up well on my camera and then I decided that actually, that was just gross. It left the pores open so I wasn't quite sure what to do because I didn't want anything getting into them. I put cold water on, because my boyfriend reckons this closes the pores (don't hold him to it, he makes things up in his mind and thinks its true). It also left the nose very smooth and soft to touch.

Overall, I couldn't recommend these enough for anyone who suffers from blackheads on the nose. They also do spot treatments, face washes, face wipes and loads of really good products that I will definitely be trying out not to mention repurchasing these over and over again!

You can buy these here, and I would if I were you!! 10/10 from me.

Have you tried these? What did you think?

My face #1

As I mentioned in yesterdays post, I have changed the name slightly of these outfit and face posts. Simply to make them sound a bit nicer!

This was the makeup you would have seen in yesterdays outfit post, I quite liked it so thought I would do a separate post! I have used some of the products I got in my box swap and I'm seriously in love with them!!

I didn't mean to put any dark eyeshadow on, I used the wrong side of the applicator (oops!) and then once I had done it I couldn't change it so had to work with it! I'm wearing blush (for the first time!!) and I actually really like it! My new CK highlight is amazing and I think that's probably my fave product I received from Helena! The lipstick colour is gorgeous, too.

Whats are you doing today?

Valentines box swap | what I got

I mentioned a few months ago (WOW?!) now that I was taking part in the Valentines box swap that Lucie from Fatbeautyx and Sam from Mascara & Cakes set up and I'm back today to show you what I received.

I was told that I was going to be sending Helena from Helena Loves a box, and she also sent me one back but at the time we obviously didn't know this. We had to give a short list of products we like and don't like for our valentine to use as a guideline.

All my items were individually wrapped which was so lovely. They also had loads of confetti heart things with a letter! All my items had a separate letter inside the wrapping to explain why she got me it.

Rimmel Moisture Renew lipstick

Kate Moss lipstick

Scandal eyes mascara

Lip stain with balm

CK highlighter

Scandal eyes eyeliner

Collection eyeshadow palette

I absolutely loved everything I received and Helena really chose well! I have used the Rimmel lipstick and I'm seriously in love!!! The eyeliner is amazing and the CK highlighter has become one of my must have products!

I want to say a massive thank you to Lucie and Sam for arranging the whole thing - it really was amazing and I hope that you do one again!
And huge thanks to Helena for my items!!

Have you tried any of the items that I got?

High end VS High street!

If you follow me on Twitter you will know that I haven't been on any kind of blogging programme (blogger, Bloglovin' etc) since Friday and I genuinely have withdrawal symptoms!! Its crazzyyy!
Today I have for you the next 2014 Blogger Challenge challenge, which is high end VS high street. When I first read the task I originally thought that I might create a look from both high end products and high street, but as the time to publish pushed closer and closer (I think I might even be late, again!!) I decided to do the easy option - a wish list!!

It was A LOT easier to do a wish list for the high street products, I think this is simply because I'm a cheap makeup kinda girl and don't ever spend too much on anything, so high end prices scare me away! I'm a firm believer that you can get the same quality for much cheaper prices!!

High street will always win for me :P

What are you favourite high street/high end picks? Do you have any of the same as mine?
aaannddd.. if you have reviews for ANY of the above please comment with links I will read all!

Valentines gift list for her..

So I'm a bit late on the whole Valentines collage thing.. Simple answer is, I only have photoshop on my very old laptop and it really is painstakingly slow on the photoshop front. I have been putting off making anything on there but I thought it was about time to do this anyways! It is mainly Topshop based (I'm not sure why that always happens.. I think I just have a hugeee obsession for Topshop!) but I hope you like the items!

Valentines outfit & makeup look

I'm back with another Valentines day makeup and outfit look! I don't actually have anything planned except probably staying in, but its a lovely chance to get all dressed up. I have stuck to the traditional black and red colours!

I'm used to a brown smokey eye look but this black one is much more dramatic and more suitable for evenings. I've also used my trusty MUA velvet lips too.
My jumpsuit is from Topshop (similar here), satchel is also from Topshop (this one here, other colour!) and the heals are old from Newlook.

*mega apologies for these pictures, I didn't realise how bad they were until after I had got changed and the makeup was off! I will learn!!*

What are you doing for Valentines day?
